Joshua Ramos, OTR/L, CEAS
Joshua is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist. Joshua joined FORM Hand Therapy in July 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science in 2012, and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2013, both from Dominican University of California. Prior to joining the FORM Hand Therapy team, Joshua worked at Canyon Manor Mental Health Rehabilitation Center applying occupational therapy interventions to promote independence for those living in the community with serious mental illness. Joshua is an extremely innovative therapist. He has used musical instruments with musicians by utilizing their own instruments in therapy to assist in desensitization, coordination, strengthening and regaining motion of the hand. Joshua is also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and has performed ergonomic onsite evaluations for corporate companies such as Logitech, allowing companies to provide their employees a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries. He is currently pursuing his Hand Therapy Certification.
Kelly Trautman, OTR/L
Kelly is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist. Kelly joined FORM Hand Therapy in December 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science degree from Colorado State University in 2014, and Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in June 2016. Kelly enjoys working with patients of all ages with a focus on successful participation in occupations and activities, including return to work, hobbies and interests, and any meaningful activity to the patient. She completed her Fieldwork II clinical experience in Hand Therapy at OrthoCarolina Physical Therapy where she gained advanced knowledge and clinical skills to evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions, integrate functional assessments into hand therapy, task analysis, orthotic fabrication, and patient education skills. She has also completed Fieldwork II in inpatient rehabilitation focused on higher level comprehensive rehabilitative occupational therapy services for those recovering from stroke, amputations, orthopedic surgeries, spinal cord injuries and multiple traumas. Kelly is currently pursuing her Hand Therapy Certification.
Joan Petrilli Ferrari, OTR/
Joan is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist. With over 30 years of experience in Occupational Therapy and Hand Therapy, Joan has treated patients with a variety of diagnoses. Joan received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from San Jose State University, became a charter member of the American Society of Hand Therapists in 1985, and received her Hand Therapy Certification in 2013. She began her occupational and hand therapy career at California Pacific Medical Center, Davies Campus in San Francisco as part of the multidisciplinary microsurgical replantation/transplantation team where she managed patients with hand and upper extremity injuries including post microsurgical reconstruction, tendon and nerve repairs, joint replacements, and chronic hand conditions. She then worked at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic treating patients post hand surgery and hand injury. She has additional experience providing hand therapy evaluation and treatment of fine motor coordination and handwriting skills for pediatric and adolescent patients with learning deficits. Joan is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), Hand Therapy Association of California (HTA-CA), Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC), and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Ashley South, OTR/L
Ashley is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Hand Therapist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia State University in 2009, and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Brenau University in 2014. Prior to joining the FORM Hand Therapy team Ashley worked as an occupational and hand therapist at Benchmark Physical Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia. There, she independently managed the hand therapy division of the clinic at the Sandy Springs location providing upper extremity rehabilitation to post-surgical and post-traumatic patients, and patients with repetitive motion injuries of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. In addition to her experience in treating multiple hand diagnoses, she takes continuing educational courses and is knowledgeable in physical agent modalities, cup therapy, taping, and custom fabricated orthotics. Ashley is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapy (ASHT), Hand Therapy Association of California (HTA-CA), and GA Hand & Upper Extremity Special Interest Group (GHUESIG). She is a board certified therapeutic massage therapist, and currently pursuing her Hand Therapy Certification.
